Mountain biking at MRVR
Located in the quiet town of Ban Thaton and adjacent to a large area of paddy fields, the Maekok River Village Resort provides some excellent biking trails along the river, through the fields, towards the mini border with Myanmar and even to some local towns. If you are super fit and confident you could even try and cycle up the steep hills to Wat Thaton.

Half Day - The Southern Bank - Mountain Bike
Degree of difficulty: Medium.
Meal Code: (None) * Picnic lunch available on request.
Board a long tailed boat at the resort jetty and travel down river for 30 minutes to a point just down river from the 1060 year old temple, Wat Pratart Sop Fang perched on a solitary high point in the middle of the Fang river valley. Disembark from the boat and commence the cycle ride on the dirt road up the steep hill. This takes you to the temple from where you can enjoy the panoramic views up and down river. Follow rural back roads through typical Thai villages, namely Ban Mae Nuang Noi, Ban Pok Pa Yang and Ban Gai. Turn off the road onto trails that lead through local farming areas, up and down some steep slopes and back and forth across the Fang river on narrow ‘temporary’ bamboo bridges. Follow the track through farmland as it flattens out and takes you along the river bank back to the resort.
